Public Outreach

Public outreach and education is an important component of a water conservation plan.  A public outreach campaign is most often assumed to be information on how people can use less water.  However, a good education program will include other important information.  The following questions should be addressed in a public outreach campaign:

  1. What is the current water situation in your area and in California as a whole?
  2. What are the current water usage rates?
  3. What changes can or must be made to use less water?
  4. Where can the public go to get more information?

Information on the current drought situation in your area and throughout the state can be found here.
