Presentation Highlights
Learn the key points that should be included in your Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and use this hands-on class to create or update your ERP. Get a free manual with templates for forms that all water systems need in case of an emergency situation. Find out how to prepare your system now for potential future water shortages. As recent years have shown, California is extremely prone to drought so it is as important as ever to prepare for water shortages in diverse situations. If you are a water system serving a population of 3,300 or more (1,000 connections), your system is required, by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, to have a completed ERP. However, ERPs are highly recommended for all water systems and are required for new water systems or those doing a change of ownership. This class will be hands-on in nature. The intent is to complete your system’s ERP update during the class. If you already have an ERP, please bring it to the class with you. Attending this class will earn you contact hours for Water Treatment and Distribution operator certif icate renewals
